v9.64 covers the problems with transfers to Australia
Aries v9.64, released on 10 May, features a thorough survey of the way pensions are handled in Australia, including a section on terminology, a comparison of the tax structure with that of the UK, and much detail on benefits, contributions and transfers. The major changes in July 2007 to the Australian rules are highlighted, also the potential problems with pension transfers to Australia.
Other main developments in v9.64 are:
- PBR & FA 2008: Three new sections, including an introduction, a summary of the 2008 Budget Announcements and material on Unauthorised Payments.
- RPSM Browser: We have recaptured the RPSM text so that it includes the March 2008 update by HMRC.
- Employer Debt Regulations: New text covering the recent changes.
- Dispute Resolution: Description of the simpler one-stage procedure available from April 2008.
- Summaries of 29 further SIs, on aspects of the FAS and a variety of other topics such as the PPF Levy, Taxable Property and Enhanced LTA.
- Case Law: a new subject index, ranging from Actuary's Role and Bankruptcy through Construction of Deeds, Estoppel and Surplus to Trustees Duties and Winding Up.
